Liebich, Ernst (I) Johann Gottlob (EN)

Liebich Ernst (I) Johann Gottlob, *27 October 1796 Rybnica (Riebnitz) in Lower Silesia (now Jelenia Góra county), †1876 Wrocław, Silesian luthier, son and student of Johann Gottlob. After taking over the Wrocław workshop of his grandfather Johann Gottfried, he developed the production of violins here, built according to various Stradivari and Guarneri models. He also, like his grandfather, manufactured guitars and harps. His instruments were also known outside Lower Silesia (Poznań, Warsaw, East Prussia, Saint Petersburg).
