Konetzni Hilde, *21 March 1905 Vienna, †20 April 1980 Vienna, Austrian singer (soprano), Anny’s sister. She studied at the conservatory in Vienna and made her debut in Chemnitz in 1929 as Sieglind in Wagner’s Die Walküre, with her sister Anna in the title role. In 1932, she joined the Neues Deutsches Theater in Prague; from 1936, a soloist at the Staatsoper in Vienna, with which she was associated for many years. In 1936, she sang Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the Salzburg Festival; she also performed on other opera stages, including in Covent Garden in London and at the Glyndebourne Festival. Particularly appreciated for her roles in works by Wagner (Elizabeth in Tannhäuser, Sieglind and Gudrun in Der Ring des Nibelungen) and R. Strauss (Duchess in Der Rosenkavalier, Chrysothemis in Electra).
