Hataš, Hatasch, Hattasch, Hatass, Dismas Thaddeus, *1 December 1724 Výsoké Myto, †13 October 1777 Gotha, Czech violinist and composer. Nothing is known about his early education. In 1751, he settled permanently in Gotha, where he started a family and worked as a violinist and later as concertmaster of the ducal orchestra. Hataš’s compositions (sonatas, symphonies), written in the early Classical style, are in a three-movement cyclical form and show the influence of J.A. Benda. The Breitkopf catalogues of 1762 and 1766 provide information on Hataš’s lost musical works.
