Delle Sedie Enrico Augusto, *17 June 1822 Livorno, †28 November 1907 La Garenne-Colombes near Paris, Italian baritone singer, baritone and teacher. He debuted in 1851 in Florence, creating the title role in Verdi’s Nabucco. He subsequently performed on stages throughout Italy as well as in Vienna, St. Petersburg, London, and at the Théâtre Italien in Paris. He was especially renowned for his performances of Verdi’s baritone roles, as well as the title role in Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Figaro in Rossini’s The Barber of Seville. From 1867 to 1871 he taught at the Paris Conservatory; he documented his pedagogical experience in published works.
