Coenen, Anton
Coenen Henri, *13 April 1841 Rotterdam, †27 October 1877 Amsterdam, son of Ludovicus, Dutch pianist and composer. First he studied under his father, then from 1862, he studied music theory with W. Thooft and J.J.H. Verhulst at the Maatschappij tot Bevordering der Toonkunst in Amsterdam, where in 1865, he took over the piano class. In 1870, together with his brother Frans, he initiated musical mornings for ladies; he performed at these concerts as a violist and cellist.
