Biography

Silvani Marino, *17th century Bologna,  †1711 Bologna, Italian bookseller and publisher. He started his business as a seller of books and music prints; initially, he printed in G. Monti’s publishing house, and in 1665, he founded his own publishing house. He published religious and secular works, especially by composers from the Bologna school (G.B. Bassani, M. Cazzati, G. Aldrovandini, S. Cherici, G.P. Colonna, A. Corelli, G.M. Jacchini, V. Manfredini). In 1698–99, 1704 (1701?), and 1709 (1707?), he published three lists of his published works.
