Wójcicki Jacek, *21 January 1960 Krakow, Polish actor, and singer. In 1982 he graduated from the acting school the State Higher Theater School (Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Teatralna) in Krakow, student of H. Kwiatkowska and M. Stebnicka. He started singing during his studies when he joined the vocal group “In Tune”. Between 1982 and 1991, he was an actor at the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Krakow. From 1981 he performed at the Piwnica Pod Baranami. Wójcicki also appeared in O. Lipińska’s television show Kabarecik (1992–1997) and, apart from that, in numerous stage shows. He has an interesting
voice (tenor), comic talent and he uses various forms of expression. Apart from songs, he performs pieces from the repertoire of J. Kiepura (Brunetki, blondynki, Ninon), opera and operetta arias. He took part in the oratorios Nieszpory ludźmierskie (music by J.K. Pawluśkiewicz to psalms by L.A. Moczulski, 1992) and A kto się odda w radość (music by W. Korcz, libretto by E. Bryll, 2008). He has also appeared in children’s television programmes as Pan Tenorek. Wójcicki’s acting roles in movies: Ostatni dzwonek, 1989 and Białe małżeństwo, 1992, both directed by M. Łazarkiewicz; Kanclerz, directed by R. Ber, 1989; Korczak, directed by A. Wajda, 1990; The Double Life of Veronique, directed by K. Kieślowski, 1991; Schindler’s List, directed by S. Spielberg, 1993, and in television series: Wow, directed by J. Łukaszewicz, 1994, and Tygrysy Europy, directed by J. Gruza, 1999. Albums he had released: Live Character, 1992; Nie bój się anioła, 1995, and Piosenki Pana Tenorka, 2006. Wójcicki is the winner of the 3rd prize for his interpretation of the song Titine at the 7th edition of the Przegląd Piosenki Aktorskiej in Wrocław and honourable mentions at the Festival of Polish Song in Opole for the songs Sekretarka (1986), Wiersz gazetowo-miłosny (1987), Nieszczęsne zwierzę (1994).
