Szeligowski Aleksander, *24 August 1934 Vilnius, †4 May 1993 Poznań, composer, conductor and organist, son of Tadeusz. He studied composition under Tadeusz Szeligowski and organ under J. Pawlak at PWSM in Poznań (diplomas: 1959 and 1960); in 1962 he graduated with distinction from conducting studies under S. Wisłocki at PWSM in Warsaw. In 1964–93, he was a senior lecturer at the PWSM (later the Academy of Music) in Poznań (score reading, instrumentation, composition propaedeutics and improvisation). From 1966 to 1969, assistant conductor at the Poznań Philharmonic. He conducted symphonic concerts in Poznań, Lublin, Wrocław and Szczecin. He also performed as an organist.
