Degani, Giulio Ettore (EN)

Biography and Literature

Degani Giulio Ettore, *15 September 1875 Montagnana, †21 May 1959 Dillonvale, Ohio, Italian luthier, son of Eugenio. He studied with his father and worked with him (Degani e Figlio company). In 1915, he emigrated to the USA, where he worked in various cities (Atlanta, New York, Cincinnati). He finally settled in Cincinnati around 1937. He built mainly based on Stradivari models (over 100 violins, 5 violas, 10 cellos and 5 double basses).
