Biography

Belloc-Giorgi Maria Teresa, *2 July 1784 San Benigno Canavese (near Turin), †13 May 1855 San Giorgio Canavese, Italian singer (mezzosoprano). She debuted in 1801 in Turin. She mainly sang lead parts in the first performances of Rossini’s opera, including The Fortunate Deception (1812) and The Thieving Magpie (1817); she also succeeded in the opera Tancredi. She performed on the stages of Italian theatres and also in Paris and London. In 1828, she finished her stage career.
