Szymański Józef, *26 July 1828 Kocierzew (near Łowicz), †26 December 1892 Warsaw, Polish organ builder. He was the son of the organist Andrzej Szymański, and he learned his profession from M. Mielczarski. In 1861, he founded an organ factory operating initially in Częstochowa, from 1869 in Warsaw, and from 1880 under the name of Józef Szymański i Syn [Józef Szymański and Son]. Grandmaster craftsman, he was awarded a gold medal at the Warsaw Universal Exhibition in 1885. The company built 126 instruments during his lifetime.
