Legat, Gustaw
Legat Siergiej Gustawowicz, *15 (27) September 1875 St. Petersburg, †19 October (1 November) 1905 St. Petersburg, Russian dancer, brother of Nikolai. He studied at the Tsarist Ballet School in St. Petersburg under his brother and Ch. Johansson and P. Gerdt (diploma – 1894), then he was employed in the ballet of the Mariinsky Theater, where he soon became the first soloist and performed most of the main repertoire roles. In 1903, together with Nikolai Legate, he became the director of the Mariinsky Theater ballet.
