Graun, August Friedrich (EN)

Biography

Graun August Friedrich, *between 6 May 1698 and 5 May 1699 Wahrenbrück, (it is impossible to determine the dates of birth of the Graun brothers due to the lack of parish registers, which were destroyed in a fire in 1714), †5 May 1765 Merseburg, German organist, composer and teacher. From 1729 until his death, he was cantor at the cathedral school in Merseburg. In 1750, following the death of J.S.
