Romberg, Andreas Jakob
Romberg Bernhard Anton, *6 March 1742 Münster, †14 December 1814 Münster, German bassoonist, clarinettist and cellist. Together with his brother, Gerhard Heinrich, he played in the orchestra of the military garrison in Dinklage and in the Vechta fortress in 1770–1803. From 1776 to 1803, he played in the prince’s band in Münster, where he gained fame as a virtuoso of wind instruments.
