Ondříček, František
Ondříček Jan, *6 May 1832 Běleč, †13 March 1900 Prague, Czech violinist and conductor. He studied violin under M. Mildner in Prague and music theory under A. Dvořák, with whom he performed in K. Komzák’s ensemble. Following in the footsteps of his father Ignác (1807–71), violinist and conductor, he founded his own ensemble, later incorporated into P. Švanda’s orchestra. Jan Ondříček also devoted himself to teaching violin and piano.
