Mahillon Fernand, *3 March 1866 Brussels, †6 March 1948 Brussels, Belgian builder of instruments, son of Charles. For over 30 years, he ran a branch of the factory in London; after the death of Victor-Charles, he came back to Brussels, taking over the management of the whole company. In the 1930s, the factory lowered its activity and stopped building woodwind instruments in 1935. In 1937, the company was taken over by J.A. Smits company and has operated as Mahillon & Co., succ. J. Smits.
