Lupot François II, *30 January 1774 Orlean, †4 February 1838 Paris, French luthier, son of François I and brother of Nicolas, from 1810, he ran an independent violin-making workshop in Paris. He often built according to the model of A. Stradivari, calling himself his student on the violin-making notes. He was famous primarily for the production of bows, considered the best in France; he probably worked in the workshop of Nicolas Léonard Tourte.
