Jiránek, Giranek, Antonín, *ca. 1712, †16 January 1761 Dresden, Czech violinist and composer. He was initially active in Prague; around 1730 – like F. Benda and J. Čart – he became a violinist in the royal orchestra in Warsaw, before moving to Dresden, where he remained until the end of his life. Jiránek composed symphonies and concertos for violin and flute (some of which have survived in Germany); his violin trio was published by H. Riemann in Collegium Musicum.
