Jeremiáš, Bohuslav, *1 May 1859 Řestoky, †18 January 1918 České Budějovice, Czech composer, teacher and conductor. In 1882–85, he studied at the Prague school of organists with F.Z. Skuherský. In 1887–1906, he developed his teaching and artistic activities in Písek, and from 1906 to 1918, he was the head of the music school in České Budějovice; he conducted numerous amateur and school choral and orchestra groups, whose repertoire focused on Czech cantata music. He composed mainly solo songs and choral works, masses (including České requiem for choir and organ, 1893), and piano pieces.
