Evangelatos Antiochos, *7 January 1904 (25 December 1903) Lixuri (Cephalonia), †1981 Athens, Greek composer and conductor. He studied music in Athens, Leipzig, Vienna, Berlin and Basel under F. Weingartner. From 1933, he worked in Athens as a professor at the Hellenic Conservatory [Hellenikon Odeion] (becoming its director in 1936), conductor of the radio orchestra (from 1937) and the opera theatre (from 1940). From 1954 to 1959, he was the musical director of Athens Radio Station. In 1957, he became president of the Greek Composers Union, and in 1966, chairman of the Greek section of the International Music Council (IMC) founded by UNESCO.
