Eddy Nelson, *29 June 1901 Providence (Rhode Island), †6 March 1967 Miami Beach (Florida), American singer (baritone). He trained in New York, Dresden and Paris. For a number of years, he was a soloist with the Philadelphia Civic Opera Company and the Philadelphia Grand Opera Company. He achieved immense popularity in the USA as a concert singer and as a singer and film actor (appearing in numerous musical films produced by Metro-Goldwyn). In 1939, he settled in Beverly Hills, California.
