Duvernoy, Duvernois, Victor-Alphonse, *30 August 1842 Paris, †7 March 1907 Paris, French pianist, composer, and pupil of J.F. Marmontel, F. Bazin and A. Barbereau at the Paris Conservatory. In 1869, he established a regular series of chamber music evenings, with H. Léonard as first violinist. From 1886, he was a professor at the conservatory (piano). He was awarded the Prix Chartier for his work in the field of chamber music.
