Calma Vittoria, actually Wiktoria Kotulak, *29 November 1920 Trzcinica (near Jasło), †28 January 2007 Rome, Polish singer (dramatic soprano). Her voice and stage talent were discovered and perfected thanks to A. Didur. In Poland, she became known as an unrivalled interpreter of the title role in Moniuszko’s Halka (in 1945, among others, she sang during the first post-war performance of this opera at the Silesian Opera in Bytom). In 1947, she settled permanently in Milan. She performed in stage and radio concerts, as well as in the opera, e.g. in 1972, she took part in the premiere of D. Shostakovich’s opera The Nose at La Scala in Milan.
