Bischoff Jan, * Olsztyn, †1670 Warsaw (?), Polish musician (trombonist). Son of Andrzej and Katarzyna Leslau from Olsztyn. Initially, he worked in Germany, and later his uncle, E. Leslau, a trombonist of the royal ensemble in Warsaw, brought him to the Warsaw court. Bischoff belonged to the royal ensemble at least from 1632 to 1658, although probably to his death. In 1648, he was given citizenship of the Old Warsaw. M. Scacchi included his Canon in diapason superiori in Cribrum musicum (1643).
