Berno of Reichenau, Augiensis, *ca. 970, †7 June 1048 Reichenau, author of writings on liturgy and music, OSB. Initially, he stayed at the Benedictine monastery in Prüm; in 1008, he became abbot of the monastery in Reichenau, from where he travelled to Rome several times: for the coronation of Henry II (1014) and Conrad II (1022), and in 1027.
In his writings, Berno of Reichenau drew on the views of Aurelian of Réôme, Hucbald and Regino of Prüm, among others.
