A nationwide conference organised by the Centrum Projektów Polska Cyfrowa starts on September 12. The event, bringing together as many as 14 beneficiaries of the Operational Programme Digital Poland – including the Polish Music Library project – will introduce the digital resources of cultural institutions to a wider audience and explain where and how to look for interesting materials without leaving home.
The ART.DATA conference is two days filled with expert knowledge and the exchange of valuable experiences. The project is free of charge and is dedicated to all potential users of digital libraries, including students and lecturers (in particular at art and humanities universities), teachers and students of primary and secondary schools, researchers and employees of the cultural sector, representatives of non-governmental organisations related to culture, education and equal opportunities, or entrepreneurs from the cultural and creative industries.
During the conference, the beneficiaries of the program – participating cultural institutions, in addition to playing the roles of experts, will represent their projects at dedicated booths. Thanks to this, each event participant will have the opportunity to take a closer look at the possibilities offered by the portals of individual exhibitors, as well as to understand what the process of digitization of individual resources is and what it involves.
ART.DATA includes presentations and discussion panels with outstanding experts and practitioners in the field of digitization, digital sharing and use of cultural resources. Among them, there will be Dr. Daniel Cichy, director – editor-in-chief of PWM, and Małgorzata Fiedor-Matuszewska, head of the PWM Rights Management Department. It is also an opportunity for personal meetings and listening to the needs of recipients.
We encourage you to visit the stand of the Polish Music Library on September 12–13 at the Fokus Premium Hotel, ul. Suwak 15 in Warsaw (prior registration required). The event will also be broadcast online.
