We’re developing the PBM – new sheet music available
We have more news to share about the development plans of the Polish Music Library – it’s time for new sheet music!
As part of the third stage of the PWM digitization project, in addition to expanding the Encyclopedia online entries and sharing archival articles from Ruch Muzyczny, the PBM portal will also feature new sheet music. We will digitalize approximately 400 works, around 200 of which will be made available to users, including concertos, symphonies, operas, cantatas, quartets, art songs and much more!
As a first step, we digitized Stanisław Hadyna’s Christmas carols for choir and orchestra, as well as art songs, popular songs and orchestral works.
Whose sheet music will be added to the PBM collections? The new materials will include works by, among others:
- Grażyna Bacewicz,
- Zbigniew Bargielski,
- Jan Ekier,
- Witold Lutosławski,
- Zygmunt Mycielski,
- Zygmunt Noskowski,
- Piotr Perkowski
- and many other Polish composers.
