European Funds Days at the Polish Music Publishing House
On 9 May 2025, the Polish Music Publishing House (PWM Edition) invites you to celebrate together during the European Funds Days at PWM. What do we have planned for this day?
- Together, we will visit the Digitisation and Digital Printing Workshop, the Music Resources Library, and the Pictures Magazine, exploring the secrets of work at selected positions;
- We will familiarise ourselves with the functionalities of the Polish Music Library portal;
- We will take part in attractive games and creative activities with a musical accent.
Each Participant will have a unique opportunity to learn about the wide scope of work in the Printing and Digitisation department and observe the changes that have occurred over the 80 years of the PWM Edition’s activity.

Group I (adults/youth/children) 8:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m.
Group II (adults/youth/children) 12:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
1.) Tour
During the tour, the following will be presented:
-
- Salon – the heart of the Publishing House and the Polish Music Library portal – a treasury of PWM digital resources – the planned activities include, among others, a screening of animations illustrating digital processes in PWM;
- Pictures Magazine – discussion of solutions used to secure PWM’s archival iconographic materials, presentation of sample archival graphics and discussion of how to protect them from harmful factors; familiarising participants with the process of entering data into the internal repository system;
- Music Resources Library – discussion of library catalogues, PWM publishing series, as well as the specifics of the functioning of the internal PWM Library;
- Digitalisation and Digital Printing Workshop – familiarisation with the process of digitization of the resources of the PWM Edition combined with the presentation of the film Scanning and digital renovation of sheet music.
2.) Creative games and activities, including:

- Colouring book / collage Colours of sound (a creative station enabling the creation of a poster or greeting card in the form of a collage. Musical colouring books will be waiting for younger guests. The finished works, with the consent of the participants, will be digitised and made available in a special gallery on the Polish Music Library portal);
- Painting with sound (the youngest Participants will be able to listen to the sounds of classical music and paint them using graphic tablets);
- Reconstruction of a lost note (work stations will be waiting for those who are not afraid of challenges, and the task to be performed will be to correct the musical notation in the digital version);
- Possibility to design a personalised notebook and print it in the Digital Printing Workshop;
- Bingo: musical instruments (a well-known bingo game in the “musical instruments” version prepared especially for our event);
- Dobble, memory, puzzles and others – all in a musical edition.
Registration for the event
Registration for the event is required; the number of participants is limited. Applications for participation in the European Funds Days at PWM, including name, surname and selected date, should be sent by e-mail to: Karolina_Kasperkiewicz@pwm.com.pl If the application concerns a minor, please also provide the age of the participant. We would like to inform you that children will participate in the event under the care of an adult.
The event is addressed to individuals. In the event of interest among school groups, it is possible to organise an additional date for the Open Days after the prior arrangement.
