Hitzelberger Regina, based in Lang, *15 February 1788 Würzburg, †10 May 1827 Munich, German singer (soprano), daughter of Sabina. After learning to sing with her mother, she continued her vocal studies with Abbé Vogler, P. v. Winter and C. Cannabich. She made her debut at the court theatre in Munich and made a brilliant career. Her acting talent was also appreciated. She enjoyed a high reputation among her contemporaries; C.M. v. Weber spoke highly of her singing; G. Meyerbeer tried to bring her to Paris, and L. v. Beethoven (1811) included the song An die Geliebte in her album. However, in 1811, she withdrew from stage activity. Her son Ferdinand Lang was an actor, and her daughter Josephine Lang-Köstlin composed songs.
